Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Robbie Land received his B.A. from the University of South Florida in Fine Arts and his M.F.A in Photography and Film from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has worked in numerous positions while continuing to produce motion picture films and photographic stills. Throughout his career Professor Land has been involved in a variety of projects from cinematographer at the Florida Lightning Research Facility to teaching college level film production. He currently resides in the Southeastern U.S. where he experiments with various film methods and process techniques. This product is incorporated into a variety of installations, performance and screenings. Professor Land’s work has shown at Kunst Film Biennale in Cologne, Germany, Museu Do Chiado in Lisbon, Portugal, Anthology Film Archives in New York City, Corcoran Gallery in Washington, DC and at several other solo and group shows.
